Refresh schedule

Daily source review

Latest completed check: 2026-11-06. Latest published data refresh: 2026-11-06.

Newer comparable observations are checked against original sources before publication. A daily check does not mean every source publishes daily. Unavailable sources retain their last known values and original dates. Editorial milestones and scores change only when supported by evidence and the documented method.

Daily-adjusted score

See the calculation, sources and daily history ↗. Daily recalculation can leave the score unchanged when no comparable evidence changes.

Latest review coverage

Daily-v1 source review: EIA Brent and WTI spot observations; OPEC annual worldwide crude reserves and production; IRENA capacity; IEA minerals; IMO, OCHA and UN monitoring; FDA biologics and drug-approval records; EMA PRAC material; Google Research health listings; selected ClinicalTrials.gov and Nature medical records. Weekly contextual review remains dated 2026-11-02. Detailed coverage: ops/reviews/2026-11-06-daily-refresh.md.

Selected, incomplete coverage rather than exhaustive global conflict, research, safety or resource surveillance. IRENA direct retrieval returned 403, so its dated value and 3 November successful-review date were retained. Selected ClinicalTrials.gov Parkinson’s and inflammatory-bowel-disease records exposed no newly posted qualifying result. FDA’s 5 November head-and-neck-cancer approval is a new indication for a previously approved drug and is not credited as the first approval of a new therapeutic mechanism. Google’s wearable hypertension work is exploratory screening research, not a standalone diagnosis or approved device. Slower Humanity, nature, satellite, debt, IMF and medical records retain their completed 2 November review. Browser inspection follows publication; the full automated verification suite is recorded in the dated review log.

Updated EIA Brent spot from $91.84 to $97.96 and WTI context from $91.73 to $94.05 for the 5 November close; recalculated the separate daily-v1 score with the frozen method. Reverified OPEC annual worldwide crude reserves and production and the IEA copper scenario; retained the dated IRENA value after a 403 retrieval failure. Updated selected geopolitical and research coverage without adding, duplicating or reversing an event, and preserved the long-term scores, original design, Learning, Humanity and all later additions.

Release notes

  • 23 Sep 2026 · Action paths & revised model

Added action paths, a What-if simulator and the broader Money & Capital track. The model now includes 40 dependencies and terminal-value bonuses. Updated values: Cooperative 48.4, Galactic 24.9, Civilization 33.8; Progress Scale 1.39.

These changes reflect a revision to the model and supplied indicators, not a measured day-to-day gain in civilization.

  • 23 Sep 2026 · Three yardsticks

Added the Galactic Index (23.1), Civilization Index (31.8), societal forecasting, cross-tab comparisons and the combined technology checklist. Data remains the 22 Sep snapshot.

  • 22 Sep 2026 · First release

Progress Scale, nine tracks, dependencies, sources and methodology.

The release figures above document changes in the model. No continuous time series is supplied, so they are not plotted as historical progress.

Reported fact

A number from a named source. Check when, where and what it measures.

Model or score

A way to compare things using chosen rules. Different rules can give different scores.

Future goal or scenario

Something we hope to achieve, or imagine might happen. It is not a measured fact.

Milestone
An important step toward a goal.
Indicator
A measurement that helps us understand something.
Dependency
Something that may need help from something else.
Biodiversity
The variety of living things.
GW
Gigawatts: a unit of power. Capacity is what equipment can produce at its rated output.
