Civometer is an independent educational project exploring science, society and possible future civilizations.
How to use Civometer
Explore, ask questions and check the sources. This is an independent educational project.
Independent editorial model
The indexes, milestones, weights and future targets are editorial assumptions. They are not official ratings, validated scientific standards, probabilities or predictions. Speculative technologies may never be feasible.
Sources and rights
Indicators identify their sources and dates. Third-party datasets, publications, websites and trademarks remain subject to their owners’ rights and applicable licenses. Attribution and links do not imply endorsement or grant permission to reuse source material. Check the original source’s terms before republishing it.
Civometer uses its own interface and charts. No affiliation with or endorsement by the organizations cited as sources is implied.
Limits and advice
Scores depend on selected indicators and assumptions; they are not a complete measure of human wellbeing or progress. Content is for education and exploration, not financial, medical, legal or other professional advice. Source values and forecasts may change; read each indicator’s date alongside its value.
The current release uses the 22 September 2026 snapshot. Weekly source reviews are scheduled; updates are published when newer observations can be verified. The methodology explains the three indexes and the separate Progress Scale.
