Your tracking choice

Traffic stats stay off until you allow them. JavaScript is needed to change this browser’s choice.

Your choice is stored on this browser. You can change it here at any time. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep tracking off. Turning tracking off stops new records; it does not identify or erase earlier records.

What gets recorded

After you opt in, we record the page path, receipt time in UTC, referring website’s hostname, a random event identifier and a daily hash of a random browser-session identifier. We do not include URL query strings, fragments, full referring URLs, names, emails, IP addresses or device fingerprints in these traffic records. No advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts are used.

A random session identifier is kept in session storage within your browser tab. It changes after 30 minutes without a tracked page opening or at midnight UTC. No analytics cookies are used. Separate tabs or unavailable storage can increase session counts. These are browser sessions, not a count of unique people.

Who can see it and for how long

The site owner can see aggregated traffic in a private dashboard. Records are held in the site’s hosting database. Reports cover the most recent 30 UTC calendar days, including today. Older event records are removed on the next successful tracking request or owner dashboard refresh. The dashboard does not publish individual activity.

Hosting infrastructure separately processes requests needed to deliver and secure the website; this analytics choice does not disable essential hosting operations. Correction reports are stored separately when you submit them. Do not put personal information in those reports.

Limits of the statistics

People who decline, disable JavaScript, use blocking software or send a privacy signal are not counted. Known bot user agents and signed-in owner visits are excluded, but filtering cannot identify every bot. Network failures can prevent a record. Counts begin when this feature is deployed; earlier traffic cannot be recovered. Visitor statistics never enter any civilization score.
